Composites Summer Camp (CSC) was focused on design and manufacturing of advanced lightweight composite materials to enhance the future of aerospace. The camp included hands-on experience working in a research laboratory setting with ODU faculty and graduate students, as well as presentations by researchers and engineers from NASA Langley Research Center. CSC introduced composite materials and their applications in structural areas of aerospace technology, while discuss common challenges that arise during design and manufacturing.

Nearly 80 students from high and middle schools around Hampton Roads area were participating in the camp activities.

The composites camp was supported through the grant from Virginia Space Grant Consortium.
