SAMPE-2024 was another year when ODU SAMPE Bridge team finished on podium, this time second in GFRP beam design. Great team effort and looking ahead of SAMPE-2025!
Our research on Hot Powder Bed Compaction (HPBC) of thermoplastic composites was featured as a finalist in Manufacturing Innovation during CAMX-2024. Great job by Jimesh, Gon and Theo who lead and contributed to this work!
It is great to see Mark Patterson successfully defend his MS Thesis! Upon graduation Mark will be joining Artificial Intelligence Integration Center of Army Futures Command.
It was great to take part in visiting Rocket Lab at Wallops Island this summer and discuss different opportunities for collaboration with my fellow colleagues from ODU.
Dr. Dan Mulqueen presented at the annual DOE conference our joint work on plant based graphene, which was supported by Vehicle Technologies Office Program. It is great to continue this work and looking forward to working on this project!
CMM Team participated at DC/Baltimore SAMPE Chapter. Saquib received a 2nd place for his research presentation on AI reconstruction of internal morphology in composites and Theo got a 3rd prize for his poster!
