The E.V. Williams Engineering and Computational Sciences Building (ECS) houses the Department of Computer Science, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, and the Department of Modeling, Simulation and Visualization Engineering. In addition to these departments, the ECS contains offices for Information Technology Services (ITS) on the campus of Old Dominion University (ODU). The building is located across from the Oceanography and Physical Sciences Building.
Named in honor of E.V. Williams, a Hampton Roads contractor, the builidng opened in 2004 as the first LEED-certified higher education building in Virginia.
