Applied Research Center (ARC)

The Applied Research Center (ARC) is a state-of-the-art business park in Newport News, Virginia where faculty, staff, and researchers from local colleges and universities, including Old Dominion University (ODU), come together to work on various projects.
Contents
History
The building was dedicated in 1998 and is operated by ODU. Home to a free-electron laser, the center also provides opportunities for testing, research, and development of different materials. The research conducted at ARC is a major stimulus to the Hampton Roads economy.
