Ted Constant Convocation Center
The Ted Constant Convocation Center, or the Ted familiarly, is home for wrestling and basketball games as well as concerts, lectures, and Commencement exercises at Old Dominion University (ODU). The building is located in the University Village along Hampton Boulevard between 43rd Street and 45th Street and is named in honor of Theodore (Ted) Constant, a long-time ODU benefactor.

History
Construction began on the Ted in 2000 as part of the University Village project conceived by ODU President James V. Koch. The 9,100 seat convention center opened in the fall of 2002. Prior to 2002, most of the basketball games at ODU were played at the Fieldhouse inside the Health and Physical Education Building. In 2019, in a 10-year, $4.25 million agreement with Chartway Federal Credit Union, the arena inside the Ted was renamed Chartway Arena.
