The Folkes-Stevens Indoor Tennis Center is home to the men’s and women’s tennis teams at Old Dominion University (ODU). The facility, located between the Jim Jarrett Athletic Administration Building and Powhatan Avenue, is also available to ODU students, faculty and staff, as well as the Hampton Roads community. The 74,000 square-foot center features 8 climate controlled indoor courts, 12 outdoor courts, locker rooms, pro shop, and offices and lounges for the men’s and women’s tennis teams.
The Folkes-Stevens Indoor Tennis Center opened in September 2007 and was built in large part due to a $1 million donation from Grey Folkes, President of Hassell & Folkes PC, and Ricky Stevens, founder of RB Stevens Construction Company. The total cost of the facility was approximately $7 million and won the 2008 USTA/VA Tennis Facility of the Year Award.
