History

During the 1980s, the ODU campus expanded west towards Powhatan Avenue along 43rd Street. As a result, most of the athletic facilities on campus were built during this time, including the Bud Metheny Baseball Complex, the ODU Soccer Stadium, and the Jim Jarrett Athletic Administration Building. Opened in 1989, the facility houses offices for the Athletic Director, Business, Compliance, Creative Services, External Relations, Facilities, and Media Relations, among others. Additions to the building were added in 2005 and 2007.
