Wrestling was one of the intercollegiate sports at Old Dominion University (ODU). Wrestling matches took place at the Health and Physical Education Building and later the Ted Constant Convocation Center. ODU discontinued the wrestling program in April 2020.

History

The first season of the wrestling team at ODU took place during the 1957-1958 academic year, when the school was known as the Norfolk Division of the College of William & Mary. The first coach of the team was Thomas “Pete” Robertson, who developed one of the best wrestling programs in the state in the 1950s and 1960s. In 2013, wrestling left the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) conference and joined the Mid-American Conference.
